A Curriculum Overview

St Clere’s Curriculum Vision

IT1At St Clere’s we endeavour to provide a curriculum that creates lifelong learners and prepares our students for the next step, whether that be further education, training or work. We aim to develop our students skills throughout our curriculum so that they are resourceful, resilient, reflective and able to build relationships.

We pride ourselves on being adaptable and are always looking for innovative and engaging ways to make the curriculum relevant, preparing our students for modern Britain and encompassing core British values across their studies.

The three-year Key Stage 3 (KS3) curriculum comprises the core subjects of English, Maths and Science and the following foundation subjects: Humanities (History and Geography), Languages,  Technology, Information Technology, Art, Music, Drama, PE and CPD. It aims to give students a flying start to their time at St Clere’s and is underpinned by our commitment to excellence through creativity, community, challenge and engagement.

At the end of Year 9 our students have a guided choice of options that develop their understanding of their chosen subjects further as well as study the core subjects. The options process is supported through an options evening that guides students and parents through their choices.
