St. Clere's School celebrates exam success with their students

Today, staff from St. Clere's School celebrated with parents as students opened their anxiously awaited GCSE results together. It was an opportunity for everyone to reflect on the last five years at St. Clere's and look forward to the next chapter in education. Staff were joined by our careers advisor, the mental health support team and even Peaches the therapy dog was in attendance to guide students on their next steps. The enrolment to our Sixth Form also began creating an energetic and reflective atmosphere.

We were pleased to celebrate many individual successes, some are pictured above. A few of the notable successes were Witold Jedrzejewski who achieved nine grade 9s and two grade 8s in an outstanding set of results. Isaac Sear achieved eight grade 9s and Tanya Chikosha achieved seven grade 9s in amongst their excellent set of GCSE results. Velma Kontoh achieved four grade 9s and five grade 8s. James and Louis Semple had an impressive outcome for the family with seven grade 9s and 10 grade 8s between them; four 9s and four 8s for James, three 9s and six 8s for Louis.

Mr Purkiss, Head of School, said, 'We are incredibly proud of this year group. They have shown resilience during the challenges of lockdowns earlier in their education and overcome the disruption of RAAC in year 11. They have shown that resilience and hard work leads to positive outcomes. We look forward to welcoming back many of the year group to our Sixth Form in September; they will be joined by a number of students from across the borough'.
